We write, with a profound sense of responsibility, genuine sympathy and soul-touching empathy, sequel to the unsavoury developments surrounding the 2026 Anointment Exercise at the Celestial City, Imeko, earlier in the week.
We are indeed most apologetic for the inconveniences suffered by members of the fold who travelled long distances, only to arrive at Imeko and they were unable participate in the anointment exercise, due to some unforseen occurences.
We sympathise and empathise with all those who suffered bruises and injuries as a result of the rowdiness, disorderliness and stampede that occurred during the exercise.
As much as we regret this development, we must mention that the situation was made even worse by the activities of infiltrators, majority of whom were not members of the Celestial Church of Christ.
Be that as it may, we wish to make it crystal clear that the church administration has returned to the drawing board with a stronger determination to put in place water tight measures for a hitch free anointment exercise, when the programme resumes after the Easter break.
Also, please accept our unwavering assurances, made with a strong sense of commitment to duty and service, that the crowd control and safety measures that would be put in place, going forward, would prioritise and guarantee the protection, safety and well-being of all those who attend the 2026 Anointment Exercise, upon its resumption after the EASTER BREAK.
E.M.F SPEAKS:
His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head, C.C.C Worldwide, wishes to assure all members of the fold of his total commitment to the resumption, continuation and successful completion of the 2026 Anointment Exercise. Presently, the E.M.F administration is working round the clock to ensure the success of the exercise when it resumes after the Easter break.
Touched by the trauma and inconveniences suffered by prospective anointees who could not participate in the anointment exercise, inspite of their efforts and the expenses incurred to get to Imeko on Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th March, 2026, Reverend Pastor E.M.F Oshoffa gracefully prayed and beseeched God on their behalf, asking for a special grace to come upon them.
He thereafter authorised the Shepherds of the parishes involved to proceed with the investiture of such prospective anointees into their new church ranks.
It is however important to emphasise here that this pastoral grace only covers those who were registered to participate in the anointment exercise on Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th, and Wednesday 25th March, 2026. Note also that this pastoral grace does NOT extend to or cover Shepherds, church workers or indeed any member of the Clergy cadre.
The rumour making the rounds that it has been approved that the Clergy cadre of the church can go ahead and adorn higher church ranks without anointment is COMPLETELY FALSE and should be DISREGARDED. Any member of the Clergy who adorns a higher rank without anointment would be SEVERELY PUNISHED. The Anointment Exercise for the Clergy cadre is scheduled for a later date.
His Eminence, Reverend Pastor E.M.F Oshoffa also seizes this opportunity to call on all members of the fold to disregard the rumour being peddled that the 2026 Anointment Exercise was suspended temporarily because he fell ill and was no longer fit to continue with the exercise.
E.M.F assures all and sundry that he’s in very good health and would be present at the Washing of Feet for the Clergy of the church on Saturday 28th March 2026.
GOING FORWARD:
However, concerning the 2026 Anointment Exercise, henceforth, Shepherds must avail the officials of Anointment Office with their current phone numbers whenever they come to register their parishioners for the 2026 Anointment Exercise.
As part of the strategies for crowd control and orderliness, henceforth, only Shepherds who receive a phone call from the officials of the Anointment Office are to proceed to Imeko with their parishioners for anointment.
Other rules and guidelines to guarantee a seamless 2026 Anointment Exercise would be released alongside a detailed TIME-TABLE for the programme in due course.
