The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports alleging that its delegates were stranded during the party’s Abuja convention, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s spokesman, Seye Oladejo, urged the public to disregard the publication, which claimed that delegates from Lagos State were left stranded due to non-release of mobilisation funds.
Oladejo stated that all accredited delegates from the state were transported to Abuja in an organised and coordinated manner, with adequate arrangements made for their comfort throughout the trip.
He added that upon arrival, the delegates were provided with suitable accommodation, contrary to the claims in the report.
The APC spokesman also clarified that the Lagos State Government does not fund party activities, noting that the party independently handles its logistics and finances through its internal structures.
He called on members of the public to rely on verified information and exercise caution when consuming reports from unofficial sources.
The Lagos APC reaffirmed its commitment to party unity and continued support for governance efforts at both the state and national levels.
