JOS – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has affirmed that it is fully prepared to host its national convention, following a final inspection of the venue by the party’s Venue Sub-Committee on Thursday.
A statement signed by Senator Simon Lalong, representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, confirmed that the inspection was conducted at Eagle Square, Abuja.
According to the statement, Senator Lalong, who serves as Vice Chairman of the Venue Sub-Committee, alongside the committee Chairman and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, thoroughly assessed the level of work completed, interacted with contractors and officials managing various aspects of the preparations, and reviewed arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful convention.
After the inspection, both Governor Abiodun and Senator Lalong expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that significant progress had been made. “The party is fully ready to host a successful national convention,” the committee members declared.
The statement also noted that this was the second visit by the team within 24 hours.
Senator Lalong and Governor Abiodun commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for their guidance and support, describing it as instrumental to the smooth planning of the event.
The APC National Convention is expected to bring together party leaders, delegates, and stakeholders from across Nigeria to strengthen the party’s unity and reposition it for future political engagements.
