Alexander Pappas Shares New Worship Single “It Is So Sweet” Featuring Chelsea Plank

Worship leader and songwriter Alexander Pappas has released his new single It Is So Sweet, featuring Chelsea Plank of SEU Worship. The song arrives as the third preview from Pappas’ upcoming EP SUNDAY, continuing a creative shift in his songwriting toward music designed specifically for congregational worship.

Rooted in the promise of God’s peace, “It Is So Sweet” reflects on the comfort and stability found in walking closely with Jesus. The song concludes with a brief reference to the classic hymn ‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus, connecting a timeless expression of faith with a fresh, modern worship sound.

According to Pappas, the song carries a message that resonates deeply in uncertain times. “Perfect peace is something so sought after, so seldom discovered, and yet so easy to find,” he shares. “Choosing to take our steps with Jesus—whether a sprint, walk, or crawl—is the path to that peace.”

The track follows his 2026 single Hands Up and builds on the momentum of his 2025 release Everything With Breath, both of which will also appear on SUNDAY. Known for his influential songwriting contributions with Hillsong Young & Free, Pappas has helped shape modern worship through songs such as Alive, Wake, Real Love, and Echo by Elevation Worship.

To celebrate the upcoming EP release, Pappas is also scheduled to perform on Fox & Friends as part of the “Faith & Friends” series during the Lent season. With “It Is So Sweet,” he continues to craft worship songs aimed at strengthening faith on Sundays while offering encouragement for the week ahead.
